Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
We are seeking an Applications Engineer for Integration for quality assurance of advanced laser-based systems.
This hands-on role combines frequent microscope-based inspections process control and root-cause analysis in a multidisciplinary environment involving optics electronics software and chemical processes.
Requires ability to work under pressure and good communication skills collaborate with system integrators and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections and analysis during system integration and build stages including intensive microscope-based work.
- Support and manage chemical laboratory processes including working with different machines and hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations.
- Analyze test results identify trends and support root-cause analysis of process and system issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to optics electronics software and hardware as they impact system performance and quality.
- Collaborate closely with machine integrators process engineers and production teams to stabilize processes and improve yield.
- Follow and help improve build procedures quality standards and safety protocols particularly for laser-based systems.
- Document test results deviations corrective actions and process observations according to quality requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Practical Engineer / Technician in Chemistry Mechanics Electronics or a related technical field.
- 12 years of hands-on experience in a production lab or manufacturing environment (quality process or test-related).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured methodical approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic production and integration environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with different engineering disciplines.
- Basic working proficiency in English (documentation and communication).
Preferred Experience (Advantage)
- Experience working with multidisciplinary systems production tools or semiconductor-related equipment.
- Previous exposure to cleanroom ISO-regulated or safety-critical environments.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety chemical handling or optical inspection techniques.
