The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing AI startup transforming how industrial and commercial businesses manage quoting ordering and operational workflows. Backed by Y Combinator and already generating over 2M ARR they are building AI-native software that automates complex business processes using large language models retrieval systems and intelligent agents.

With strong product-market fit increasing customer demand and plans to scale rapidly following their next funding round they are looking for an AI / LLM Engineer to help build the next generation of their platform.

This is an opportunity to join an elite team of engineers researchers and founders from leading technology and research institutions working on production AI systems that deliver measurable business impact.

What Youll Do

• Design and build end-to-end LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows.

• Develop retrieval pipelines RAG systems context management and knowledge architectures.

• Build evaluation frameworks monitoring systems and automated feedback loops to improve model performance.

• Create scalable pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

• Own the reliability scalability and architecture of production AI systems.

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into AI-powered solutions.

• Contribute directly to the technical direction and future architecture of the platform.

What Youll Have

• 2 years of experience building production AI ML NLP or LLM-powered systems.

• Strong understanding of retrieval systems embeddings RAG architectures and unstructured data processing.

• Experience deploying and maintaining AI applications in production environments.

• Strong software engineering skills with Python and modern development practices.

• Ability to move quickly operate with ambiguity and take ownership from idea to production.

• Excellent communication skills and a product-focused mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with FastAPI React or TypeScript.

• Startup founding engineer or early employee experience.

• Experience at high-performance technology companies or research-driven organisations.

• Background in machine learning competitions Kaggle Olympiads research or other recognised technical achievements.
