Tasks

The job

In this role you will set up, maintain and upgrade (part of) the applications within the organization. You ensure that the interfaces are set up correctly and as standardized as possible and the operational maintenance of these interfaces. You are giving technical and functional support to the users from all across Europe working with the application and inform them about the possibilities within the application. You will also inform the O Neill management and/or other (external) parties.

Your key accountabilities will be:

Changing and upgrading the applications, so that:

• Stability, reliability and performance of the environment is ensured;
• Quality of the data is ensured and the data is up to date;
• Building reports and interfaces,
• Monitoring and maintaining of interfaces
• The application is working correctly and functionalities are optimized;
• Latest developments are monitored and implemented;
• New releases are tested and new functionality is documented before taken into use;
• Software, patches or new versions of the software and/or databases are tested.

Maintains and monitors the application, so that:

• Business processes remain opeartional
• Application documentation is guaranteed: work instructions, manuals, procedures are developed and maintained;
• Relevant information is reliable and accurate;
• Business innovation opportunities are spotted and implemented.

Providing user support for the applications, to ensure that:

• Problems are solved correctly;
• New users are correctly trained and provided with relevant information;
• Procedures and protocols for using the applications are developed and maintained.

Leading small and mid-size scoped application projects, so that:

• Projects are well managed;
• Suppliers are managed to deliver according to contract;
• Projects are realized on time;
• Projects are realized and objectives are achieved, for example: efficiency is improved.

Independently negotiate with suppliers on renewal or purchase conditions of software and hardware, such that:

• Agreements are made within the O Neill policy;
• Costs are optimized as much as possible;
• Managers are provided with correct advise.

Requirements

Who are you?

• You have a Bachelor degree in IT;
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (maintaining applications, setting up interfaces, reporting tools and SQL), experience in a fashion company is a plus;
• Knowledge of VisualCron, EDI messaging, API interfaces;
• Knowledge of ERP systems, where specifically ItsPerfect would be an asset;
• Understanding of fashion, wholesale and retail processes would be a plus;
• Knowledge of databases and their structures;
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
