Our European photon counting X-ray experts, Direct Conversion, are looking for an Equipment and Facility Engineer for their Manufacturing Engineering Team, who wants to join our dynamic business, working at the forefront of this advanced X-ray technology.

Direct Conversion were the first to innovate, design, develop and manufacture photon counting, direct conversion, digital X-ray detectors used in medical, dental and industrial systems around the world. Now they are part of the Varex Imaging global enterprise, combining their drive, talent and commitment with ours to create outstanding new X-ray products and services.

Tasks

You will be responsible for regular equipment and clean room maintenance, troubleshooting for equipment and clean room facility-related issues, and supporting processes for production quality monitoring and R&D projects.

  • Scheduled maintenance for production equipment (such as flip-chip bonders, probe stations, dicing saw and wet stations).
  • Troubleshooting for production equipment. Communication with equipment manufacturers will be needed in English.
  • Cleanroom maintenance includes maintaining a qualified working environment in terms of humidity and particle, maintenance of CDA and nitrogen generators, HEPA filter exchange, and DI water generator.
  • Communication with clean room facility suppliers/services will be needed.
  • Documentation work for maintenance log and troubleshooters.
  • Planning and managing equipment and facility spare parts for lowering the equipment risk.
  • Work with process engineers and offer support for production quality monitoring including pull-shear testing, and microscope inspection.
  • Work with process engineers and offer support for R&D projects when needed (low priority).

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or similar education in a relevant study field
  • Several years of experience in a similar role would be a plus.
  • Advanced technical skills in the area of equipment and facility maintenance in and manufacturing and R&D environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven team spirit.
  • Well-organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and be calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a clean room environment and can handle chemicals.
