Prepares, records and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: 1 Obtains any needed warranty or customer authorization prior to working on unit including taking of pictures, approval for authorization or any / all procedures as prescribed in the manufacturer's warranty policy & procedure manuals 2 Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation. 3 Verifies criteria required by manufacturer. 4 Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule. 5 Conduct weekly audits of warranty and schedules, reviewing all old claims, and address any adjustments or write-offs 6 Assist service consultants and technicians with any warranty questions 7 Follows up on payment of outstanding claims. 8 Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of. 9 Arranges for parts to be scrapped. 10 Files and maintains all service records as required by the manufacturer. 11 Keeps informed of all manufacturer recalls and bulletins. 12 Assists with body shop warranty claims as needed. 13 Analyze problems, identify trends and develop strategies for maximizing claim process 14 Assists with any clerical needs as directed by Service Manager or Controller 15 Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area. 16 Performs other duties as assigned.
