Site Engineer / Construction Manager (Overhead Catenary Systems) Long-Term Railway Project Cairo Egypt
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager (Overhead Catenary Systems) for a major international railway infrastructure project in Cairo Egypt starting April 2026.
This is a long-term engagement on-site with one of the leading global rail development companies.
You will take full responsibility for coordinating all disciplines related to the construction and installation of overhead catenary systems (OCS). The role requires strong technical leadership structured project control and professional stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Overall project management of overhead catenary system works Coordination of all involved trades and technical disciplines including:
Civil Works
Foundations & Structural Works
Steel Structures & Masts Installation
Electrical Installation
Wiring & Tensioning Systems
Power Supply Interfaces
Testing & Commissioning
Interface management between engineering construction and commissioning teams Schedule tracking and milestone control Budget monitoring and reporting Risk and claim management Regular coordination meetings with the client (international rail development company) Ensuring compliance with international railway standards and HSE regulations
Profile Requirements
Extensive experience in overhead catenary system (OCS) projects Proven track record as Project Manager in railway electrification projects Strong interface management skills Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects Fluent English (German is a plus) Willingness to work on-site in Cairo
