Were looking for a Staff/Lead Mobile Engineer who doesnt just build features - they define how the mobile function operates. Someone who sets the technical direction raises the bar for the team around them and has strong opinions about mobile architecture because theyve earned them. Not a manager. An engineer who multiplies everyone else.

What youll own

• Set the technical direction for our React Native mobile platform across iOS and Android

• Lead architectural decisions - from state management patterns to release infrastructure - and own the outcomes

• Drive platform-wide improvements in performance reliability and scalability

• Define and enforce engineering standards code quality and mobile best practices across the team

• Mentor and grow mid and senior engineers - through code review pairing and raising the quality of technical discourse

• Partner with product and design at the earliest stages to shape roadmap priorities not just execute them

• Own the mobile release lifecycle end-to-end and evolve the CI/CD pipeline

• Identify and resolve technical debt before it becomes a production problem

What you bring

• 8 years of professional software engineering experience

• Deep battle-tested React Native expertise - at real scale with real consequences

• A track record of making architectural decisions and owning them long-term

• Strong TypeScript state management and mobile performance optimisation skills

• Experience leading or significantly influencing a mobile engineering team or function

• Hands-on Expo experience in production environments

• The ability to zoom in on a tricky bug and zoom out to a six-month technical strategy - often in the same day

• Fluent in English and Bulgarian

Strong plus

• Expo Application Services (EAS) for builds releases and OTA updates

• Experience building or evolving mobile CI/CD pipelines

• Mobile observability: crash reporting analytics performance monitoring

• Native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) experience

• A/B testing feature flagging or experimentation infrastructure

• Web background (we use Python Django React)

• Experience hiring or growing engineering talent
