We are looking for a passionate and driven DevelopmentExpert tojoin our Hyperspace Open Source Compliance (OSC)team. If you enjoy solving complex problems working with cloud-native technologies and building impactful developer servicesthis role is for you.

Our service:

• Performs automated scans of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs)
• Detects and reports issues directly into GitHub or Jira
• Eliminates manual effort by automating compliance workflows
• Enables teams to focus on fixing issues instead of managing tools
• Continuously evolves with AI-supported capabilities to enhance analysis automation and developer productivity

As a Development Expert you will play a key role in building and evolving this critical service that supports development teams across SAP. You will work on cloud-native scalable systemsthat directly improve productivity and compliance quality.

What youll do

• Design and develop scalable microservicespowering the OSC capabilities
• Work with event-driven architectures and message queues
• Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using design thinking methodologies
• Integrate with tools like GitHub and Jirafor seamless developer workflows
• Drive system reliability performance and observability improvements
• Mentor and support junior developers while promoting engineering best practices
• Apply context engineering principles to ensure AI-assisted workflows operate with high relevance accuracy and efficiency
• Evaluate and improve AI output quality in automated compliance checks and developer workflows
• Explore and implement agentic AI approachesto enhance day-to-day engineering tasks automation and decision-making

What you bring

• 5 years of experience as a software developer including senior-level responsibilities
• Strong coding skills in Go
• Experience building cloud-native applications
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Experience with event-driven architectures/messaging systems
• Passion for clean code testing and quality engineering
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a team-first mindset
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong interest in AI-driven development practices and an AI adoption mindset
• Awareness of prompt design context handling and AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Ability to critically assess andimprove AI-generated outputs

Nice to have but not a must

• Knowledge of SBOMs open source compliance or security tooling
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
• Exposure to GitHub Jira integrations or developer platforms
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with LLMs AI tooling or automation frameworks in software engineering contexts
• Familiarity with agent-based systems or AI-assisted developer platforms
