The position of Accountant Accounts Receivable is part of the Order to Cash service line of Group BIC Services in Sofia Bulgaria. This position has to ensure timely and effective Accounts Receivable management in line with internal procedures:
Responsible fordaily processing of incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Responsible fordaily follows up with customers to ensure effective and on-time cash collection of receivables
The role requires understanding of Accounts Receivable processes and high engagement with various departments & stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
Process payments: perform payment booking with invoice matching customerdeductionsand/or advances
Cash collection: regular follow-up (reminders phone calls) with customers/Commercial Unit to ensure effective and on-time collection of receivables
Accounts reconciliation
Develop and implement strategies toimprove efficiency and effectiveness in accounts receivable & collection processes
Participatinginlocal meetings
Act as keysubject matter expertregardingspecific country processes & customer specifics.
Contact customers onappropriate communicationchannel (phone e-mail chat ) as needed
Continuous improvement:identifyproposeand implement development activities to improveperformanceon a continuous basis
Knowledgeskills and experience:
- High school degree (University education is desired)
- 1-2 year of experience inaShared Servicesenvironmentfor a global companyis required
- 3-5 year of experiencefor a global companyis a plus
- AdvancedEnglish and Italian
- Customer service orientation and attention to details
- Ability to work in teams with deadlines and time pressure
