Job Summary
Summary: The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in the successful execution of MEP and construction projects by overseeing electrical and mechanical installations on-site. This position requires a hands-on professional with expertise in engineering drawings site supervision and project coordination ensuring all systems are installed safely accurately and in compliance with specifications. The engineer will be responsible for BOQ preparation quantity take-offs material planning progress monitoring and testing/commissioning activities. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in electrical distribution HVAC plumbing firefighting systems and mechanical equipment installations with proven experience in EPC environments. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise electrical and mechanical installations on construction sites
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and perform accurate quantity take-offs
- Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Monitor project progress manage site activities and support material planning
- Conduct testing and commissioning of building systems
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards construction codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with contractors engineers and project managers to maintain project momentum
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 36 years of experience in electro-mechanical or MEP construction projects
- Proven experience in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in construction
- Practical experience in site supervision and project execution
- Familiarity with engineering standards and construction codes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in MEP industrial commercial or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning of building systems
- Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks independently on-site
- Strong problem-solving and team coordination abilities
Required Skills:
Engineer Certified Proven experience with Oracle ERP systems in a construction or project management environment Strong organizational and documentation management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven setting Proficiency in project lifecycle administration and process optimization
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
