EntryLevel Lab Chemist (GC IC Gravimetrics)
CleanAir Engineering a leading environmental engineering firm is seeking a motivated and
detailoriented EntryLevel Lab Chemist to join our growing team in Palatine Illinois. The ideal
candidate will be passionate about environmental science and eager to learn and apply various
analytical techniques including Gas Chromatography (GC) Ion Chromatography (IC) and
Gravimetric Analysis to contribute to our mission of ensuring clean air for a healthier future.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and nonroutine analyses using GC IC and gravimetric techniques on a variety of samples
Assist with the operation and maintenance of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy equipment
Support field work including sample collection site visits and field measurements approximately 25% of the time
Collaborate with fellow chemists engineers and project managers to interpret and communicate analytical results
Adhere to strict quality control and safety protocols in all laboratory and field activities
Continuously develop technical skills and stay informed of new advancements in analytical chemistry
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel for field work as needed (approximately 25% of the time)
Prior experience with GC IC Gravimetric Analysis or FTIR is a plus but not required
