. This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced medical environment.
As a Locum Critical Care Physician you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role is essential in supporting our mission of delivering exceptional medical practice and enhancing patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in a high-acuity setting
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret laboratory results
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and policies regarding patient care
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky
- Experience in critical care settings
- Strong knowledge of ICU protocols and standards of care
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable utilizing electronic health record systems
- Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
Setting: Closed ICU units 50 beds total
Daily Admissions Volume: 12-15 patients
Procedures Required: Intubation chest tube bronchoscopy etc
Support Staff: RNs Intensivists
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
DEA ACLS and BLS required
Paid travel & expenses
