Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Operations and in collaboration with the departments Physician Director the Clinical Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic and provides leadership to the clinical staff. This role supports the implementation of departmental strategies operational initiatives and hospital-wide programs while ensuring efficient clinic operations high-quality patient care regulatory compliance and an exceptional patient experience.Does this position require Patient Care

Essential Functions
-Lead hire train schedule and support clinical and supervisory staff across clinic locations partnering closely with department leadership.
-Evaluate staff performance and competencies while promoting ongoing professional development.
-Support the implementation of new workflows policies and processes to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
-Identify and implement workflow improvements that enhance efficiency quality and patient care.
-Assist with developing monitoring and managing departmental operating and capital budgets while supporting responsible financial stewardship.
-Allocate and redeploy staff as needed to meet patient care demands and maintain efficient clinic operations.
-Ensure resources are used effectively to provide an excellent patient experience including appropriate accommodations for patients with diverse needs.
-Respond to patient questions concerns and feedback in a timely professional and compassionate manner.
-Monitor quality service patient satisfaction and operational performance metrics identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
-Participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives that support operational excellence and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field required.
- Relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification required.
- 57 years of management experience in an ophthalmology setting required.
- Strong leadership coaching and team development skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced high-volume clinical environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with patients clinical staff physicians researchers and regulatory partners.
- Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
