VP, Broking - Surety

Dallas, TX 75231

  • is seeking candidates for a Broker position based in the Dallas, TX, Morristown, NJ, New York, NY or Philadelphia, PA offices.
  • You will be responsible for servicing existing and producing new client relationships.
  • The opportunity to quickly develop and manage a portfolio of client relationships which may otherwise take years to develop.
  • You will demonstrate the following traits: strong listening and analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive problem solving and management of the sales process.
  • The existing Surety COE team consists of three senior brokers with 15 to 35 years of reinsurance underwriting/broking and primary surety underwriting experience. The team has established a leading market share within the US surety space and liaises with international counterparts to further develop global business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage reinsurance placements from start to finish inclusive of post placement activities to address client needs outside of renewal activities.
  • Develop marketing and renewal strategies to present to senior Surety COE brokers
  • Liaise with contract wording departments to develop wording to address changes requested by clients
  • Liaise with actuarial resources to develop renewal pricing strategies and guidance
  • Liaise with accounting and claims department to ensure timely processing of premium payments and claims processing as well as promptly address any issues which may arise
  • Develop a rapport with clients to be viewed as a trusted advisor in all aspects of their business
  • Lean on senior Surety COE brokers when necessary to address any reinsurance or client relationship issues





Requirements

1. Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred


2. 3 to 7 years experience in surety underwriting/broking and/or reinsurance broking


3. Advanced MS office skills, specifically a strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel


4. Strong critical thinking skills in finance, economics and/or statistics

5. Master s degree in Business Administration - a plus

6. Associate in Surety Bonding (AFSB designation)


7. Leadership roles in surety industry associations


8. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. (Please indicate which)
