Trailer Mechanic

Pay: $18-20/hr.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Job Description:

Will perform periodic inspections and record needed repairs. Chassis lubrication, Wheel-end repairs including wheel bearing replacement, wheel seals and brake replacement. Suspension repairs including leaf springs, equalizers, air bags, and shock absorber replacement. Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of electrical and ABS malfunctions. Tire and wheel changes. Aluminum and steel welding and fabrication as needed. Cleaning the outside of trailers as needed. Perform daily tire checks on all equipment staged at the terminal. General shop appearance including parts storage, sweeping, and mopping floors, and trash disposal. Other duties deemed necessary by the Shop Manager and Terminal Management.

Requirements:

Attention to detail & willingness to learn. Own set of hand tools. Willing to work outside as needed regardless of climate.
