Tooling Technician

Position Overview (Description)

Ability to operate various machines and equipment including but not limited to cylindrical grinders, bench grinders, Gas torch, belt sander and sandblaster.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Disassembly of incoming tooling

Final assembly of finished tooling

Final inspection of finished tooling

Rework tools per process sheet specification.

Prioritize workload by following due dates and color-coding system.

Machine Maintenance.

Primary Objectives

Meet or exceed quality standards and estimated labor.

Limit scrap rate.

Specific Responsibilities of the position

Disassembly and cleaning of incoming tooling.

In-process and final inspection to ensure tools are within specified tolerance.

Maintain your equipment and keep your area clean and organized.

Required Skills and Abilities

Measuring equipment: ability to use and understand calipers and micrometers.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

Team player.
