Superintendent

Job Overview:

Our company is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent with expertise in concrete high-rise construction to oversee and manage construction projects in the Vancouver construction market. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in building towers and a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety
  
• Supervise and manage a team of subcontractors and on-site staff, ensuring they are meeting project goals and objectives
  
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including identifying critical paths, lead times, and constraints, to ensure timely project completion
  
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and requirements are met
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  
• Monitor and control project costs, including managing and negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers
  
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including the project manager, clients, and other contractors
  
• Attend and conduct regular meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to provide progress reports and resolve any issues that may arise
  

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience in high-rise concrete construction
  
• Proven experience in managing and supervising construction projects
  
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
  
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and effective decisions
  
• Experience with Microsoft Office and project management software
