Structural Engineer

Innovative Midwest engineering firm is hiring a Structural Engineer to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates engineering work for a wide range of project types and materials
  
• Perform conventional engineering duties as well as more complex tasks (conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements
  
• Prepare structural calculations and plan layouts
  
• Perform construction administration tasks including completing RFI s, submittal review, and site observation visits
  
• Comply with project schedules
  
• Monitor project progress using input from Project Manager
  
• Represent firm at external meetings
  
• May supervise/train junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
  
• 5+ years of experience
  
• PE License
  
• SE License preferred
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit
  
• Member of professional organization preferred
