JOB TITLE: Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Sr. HR Business Partner will serve as the HR Relationship Manager. The HRBP for supporting our client s management team in all HR related matters. These include but are not limited to; employee relations matters, department reorganizations, safety matters, and staffing. The ideal HRBP forms partnerships across AL s operating team to understand and deliver value-added HR practices.
1. Provides HR consultation to the division president and its direct reports to support and align business and people initiatives.
2. Guides efforts to improve business performance to support the achievement of company objectives through integrated HR plans.
3. Focuses on ensuring the flawless execution of human resources practices. Implements HR programs, policies and processes including safety, workforce planning, talent acquisition, on-boarding, goal setting, performance management, total rewards, employee engagement that optimize the organization s talent, structure, process, and culture.
4. Reviews results of investigations and makes recommendations on workplace issues and communicates to management on resolutions.
5. Provides training, coaching and collaboration with department managers in employee development, teambuilding, performance management and talent planning. Assists leaders with development plans for teams and employees.
6. Identifies job-specific recruitment strategies to ensure hiring and retention of qualified candidates.
7. Analyzes and compiles information and statistics and develops reports and presentations with recommendations for management-level meetings.
8. Conducts research of new and pending legislation and laws relating to HR programs; ensures that business unit HR-related and employment practices are in compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and guidelines.
9. Works with CHRO and HR Manager on various research/special projects and best practices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree or equivalent with significant coursework in human resources
Five (5) years of related professional-level experience in human resources
Degree requirement may be substituted by increasingly responsible, professional-level HR experience on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge of current human resources rules, regulations, laws, principles, practices, and policies related to administration of all aspects of human resources (i.e., Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation and Benefits).
Results focus idea generation, innovative and creative problem-solving rapport and relationship building focused on achieving results.
Ability to provide consulting to mediate issue and/or influence business leaders.
Ability to influence management on key human capital related needs or problems.
Skill in investigating complaints in compliance with EEOC guidelines.
Skill in conflict resolution/negotiating activities to resolve complaints and business issues.
Ability to understand and interpret current company policies, practices and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization, and to establish rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and training.
Ability to organize and coordinate with sense of urgency multiple tasks, differentiate among competing demands, and to work under time pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to apply reasoning in conducting research and analysis of a variety of HR programs.
Ability to process data using the computer.
Ability to work with the public and other employees in a pleasant and tactful manner.
