Sr Financial Accountant

This is a remote position.

• Preparation of corporate bank account reconciliations
  
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  
• Preparation and posting of journals to the general ledger
  
• Maintain Lease schedules in accordance with Lease Accounting requirements
  
• Prepare annual Fringe Benefits Tax Returns
  
• Assist with the annual audit process and the preparation of financial statements for the Group
  
• Assist with the preparation of supporting information for Income tax returns
  
• Preparation of BAS for Australia and New Zealand for lodgment
  
• Maintain Trust unit registers
  
• Assist with payroll related reconciliations as required
  
• Review and release corporate invoices in MYOB
  
• Review and approve new supplier creditor applications
  
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required
  

Requirements

• General accountant 5-6 yrs: Journals, acctg principles
  
• High attention to detail
  
• Solid experience in treasury, AP/AR, balance sheet reconciliations across assets, liabilities and equity
  
• Experience in corporate P&L analytics understand movements someone who has the initiative to reach out to certain people
  
• Problem solving skills
  
• Advanced excel experience (pivot tables, vlookup, sumifs..)
  
• MYOB software or any accounting software
  

• CPA qualified
  
• Exposure to Australian or US clients
  
• Tax knowledge, including GST, FBT and income tax
  
• Property exposure
  
• Audit experience
