What will you be doing

Overview

The Service (Site) Reliability Engineer (SRE) works to ensure Transfinder provides clients with the best-hosted software experience The SRE works collaboratively between Development and Operations to scale, secure, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure for running Transfinder Utilizing AWS and other cloud technologies, this position is responsible for ensuring Transfinder products are dependable and

Work with Development and Operations to develop and achieve target Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for products

Ensure cloud infrastructure is secure, stable, and highly available

Configure, review, and monitor performance and stability metrics

Work with solutions architects to ensure the reliability of products

Respond to alerts when issues are detected in the environment

Participate in on-call monitoring and response to ensure uptime

Stay current on industry trends and make recommendations as needed to help the company excel

Requirements

Must have experience

2+ years experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred)

Experience with scripting languages (, PowerShell, Python)

Experience in operating a 24x7 uptime environment

Understanding of Software-as-a-service environment

Understanding of databases and how they interact with software

Understanding of cloud security

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and problem-solving attitude

Able to provide constructive feedback
