JOB DESCRIPTION

Shop Helper

Reports To:

Shop Foreman

Summary:

The Warehouseman will act in a support role under the direction of the shop foreman. The Warehouseman will be responsible for maintenance and organization of the shop floor and yard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as a support for the technicians under the direction of the shop foreman

Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop area and yard

Maintain tools and equipment

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Maintain current knowledge of safety standards

Troubleshoot equipment failures

Promote safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations

Undergo extensive safety training

Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures

Share knowledge & best practice across the company

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong organizational skills

Ability to demonstrate strong decision making skills, initiative and assertiveness

Must be able to operate an overhead crane and/or jib cranes safely

Must be able to operate a forklift
