Robot Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to lead a new division for long-standing machine manufacture. Responsible for Robot Programming and PLC controls integrations. You will be working to grow and manage a new division within this organization. This is a unique and great opportunity that does not come up often!

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Fanuc robot programming on automation systems projects
  
• Create robot programming specifications based on customer specific process requirements
  
• Develop robot programs written in both TPP and KAREL, using ROBOGUIDE
  
• Write and implement cell PLC programming based on application. Allen Bradley or Automation Direct preferred
  
• Customize and integrate vision products to meet specific customer requirements
  
• Lead and direct field installation efforts at customer site
  
• Develop customer training and cell documentation
  
• Conduct customer specific training classes after acceptance.
  
• Provide input on EOAT selection and gripper designs
  
• Validate by simulation robot paths and orientations work within defined space
  
• Complete risk assessments to ensure a safe application for all parties.
  
• Support sales and quoting efforts as required
  
• Supervise and train entry-level Engineers
  
• Some overnight travel is required
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree Preferred. Equivalent Experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
  
• 2+ years (s) of experience with Robot Programming (Fanuc Preferred) and Machine vision systems.
  
• Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic programming. (Allen Bradley)
  
• Understanding electrical/controls circuitry and schematics.
  
• Experience with AutoCAD
  
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
