Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Full-time, Three 12-hour shifts/week, rotating on-call and weekends

Salary Range: $29.50-$38.72 per hour, plus shift differentials (Evening-$3, Night-$5.25, Weekend-$2.75)

Benefits: Relocation assistance of $2,500 and Loan Repayment of $5,000

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a small critical access facility near Gunnison, Colorado. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients with chronic and acute respiratory illnesses, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
  
• Evaluate patients respiratory function and adjust treatment plans as needed
  
• Assist with airway management, including intubation and mechanical ventilation
  
• Monitor patients response to therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory therapy treatments and disease management
  
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  
• Participate in quality improvement activities and staff education
  

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Colorado
  
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
  
• Current certifications in NRP, PALS, BLS, ACLS, STABLE
  
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Our small critical access facility is located the beautiful Central Colorado, which is known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting. Nearby Crested Butte is a charming mountain town with historic buildings, art galleries, and boutique shops. The surrounding area offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, and there are many opportunities for outdoor adventures year-round.
