We are looking for parent coaches to join our care team.
Part Time/Contract Position
Minimum 1o hours per week
Starting pay: $50/hr for the first 90 days, with room for growth.

Job Overview:
We are on the lookout for an experienced parent coach who possesses a BA or Masters in Child Development preferred, Child Psychology or related field to join manatee! As an integral member of the care team, you will work with phenomenal providers and coaches and report to the Director of Parent Coaching to deliver evidence-based care to parents. You will also play a critical role in identifying the needs and objectives of Manatee s families, in addition to providing input to improve and grow our parenting programs and content for our digital products.

About the role:
We are looking for a passionate part-time (contractor) parent coach to join our care team. In this exciting role, you will deliver coaching to parents while championing our evidence-based mental health programs and our innovative approach to helping families thrive! In addition, to drive your fulfillment, improve family outcomes and create a delightful client experience, we value your expertise to improve Manatee s care and digital products.

You will foster goal achievement related to parenting in a safe and non-judgmental setting, using psychoeducation and evidence-based strategies to navigate issues, increase family functioning, parenting confidence and improve communication.

How you ll spend your time:

  • Provide virtual coaching sessions following the Manatee approach and protocol to parents
  • Write Parent Coaching Treatment Plans and document each coaching session including a brief summary and weekly goals
  • Meet weekly with the Director of Parent Coaching for training, supervision and support.
  • Use the Manatee platform to develop and set coaching goals, track client progress and provide ongoing support to parents through the messaging app.
  • Assist in translating latest best practices into actionable and feasible engaging parenting content (activities, handouts, and interventions)
  • Collaborate with care team to communicate client progress and to continuously improve our programs and services
  • Refer parents and families to the clinical care team, if they are in need of a more therapeutic approach
  • Provide valuable feedback and insights to product and design teams
  • Help Mantee grow and thrive by contributing with your strengths, experiences, and passions (e.g., host live roundtables for parents, public speaking opportunities, contribute to blog posts and articles)

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must possess a BA/Masters in Child Development, Child Psychology, Human Development or related field
  • You are an experienced professional with with an in-depth understanding of child development and common milestones from birth-17
  • You understand current child rearing practices and their impact on behavior
  • You have 2+ years coaching experience and a proven track record of teaching/providing coaching services related to these common behavioral issues:
    • Children who struggle to get up and ready for school
    • Children who get up and down from the table and refuse to eat what is served
    • Children who refuse to go to bed and stay in bed
    • Children who whine, scream, yell and hit their parents, siblings and/or peers
    • Children who refuse to do chores and homework
  • You are able to work a minimum of 10 hours a week

Additional Preferred Qualifications & Qualities

  • You are flexible, creative, and curious about how mental health could be for kids and families
  • You are highly organized and self-starter; able to multitask and be efficient in ambiguous situations (important when working in a startup environment)
  • You have a desire to learn and share your knowledge with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
