Public Cloud Operations Engineer
Anywhere in U.S.
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Operational Support for public cloud technology solutions, primarily focused on the AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of AWS and Azure public cloud technologies to ensure all appropriate options are considered to support business initiatives.
- Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Project Managers, Developers, and Engineering teams, to resolve technical obstacles and improve the product's vision.
- Work closely with multiple Project Management and Software Engineering teams on understanding ways to improve IaaS and PaaS service offerings.
Requirements
1. More than 10+ Years of overall experience
2. Public cloud operations engineering amassing 7+ years of industry specific experience.
3. SME (Subject Matter Expert)
4. Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of AWS and Azure public cloud technologies
5. AWS or Azure public cloud experience in development or architecture.
6. Hands-on with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including but not limited to core IaaS (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, ELB) and native AWS PaaS Services (Lambda, AWS Config, EMR, Athena, EKS, etc.)
7. Hands-on with Azure public cloud, including core (compute, storage, networking) platform, PaaS and IAM offerings.
8. Hands-on with containers and container orchestration, Kubernetes, and Docker, including lifecycle management of containers.
9. AWS or Azure Certification a plus
10. DevOps/coding skills in Python 3.x, CloudFormation, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. a plus
11. Web-Based Applications and/or Web Services-Based Applications a plus

1. Bachelor s degree with coursework demonstrating an interest in finance, tax, and/or accounting, graduate degree in tax a plus. 2. A minimum of 2 years of in-house or public accounting international tax experience. 3. Broad-based International TAX experience with technical experience in international tax compliance and tax provision 4. Tax Technologies compliance and OneSource Tax Provision 5. Assist in quarterly and annual international ASC 740 (FAS 109/FIN 48) tax accruals, global effective tax rate calculations, and footnote disclosure. 6. Experience preparing/reviewing of Form 5471, 8858, 8865 using the Tax Technologies software system. 7. Experience preparing detailed earnings and profits analysis; foreign tax credit; Subpart F income; GILTI inclusion, previously taxed income; and foreign source income.. 8. Familiarity with tax compliance and provision software; in particular, prefer experience in Tax Technologies compliance and OneSource Tax Provision. 9. Strong skills in Microsoft Office. 10. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
