Campos EPC is currently looking for a Process Engineer located in Denver, Colorado for a full-time position.


The Process Engineer will perform engineering tasks for gas, oil and utility projects that typically include station and facility upgrades, new builds, process modeling and design, and developing specification documents. Qualified individuals will have engineering design experience related to process and facilities or experience related to engineering/operations in the natural gas, liquefied natural gas, utility, and midstream sectors. This person will help support projects throughout the company that require process engineering. This position may include travel up to 25% of the year.


Project responsibilities will include:

o Preparing detailed engineering of pipeline facilities including regulation and meter runs, pig launchers, interconnects, relief systems, measurement systems, compressor station, gas conditioning facilities, gas processing, upstream production facilities, etc.

o Performing sizing calculations for relief valves, control valves, separators, compressors and other equipment that projects may need

o Supporting the development of equipment specifications such as but not limited to Compressors, pumps, separators, process skids, etc

o Developing process models for facility projects

o Developing and managing P&ID sets

o Participating in field/ site walks, coordinate field investigation work for engineering and construction

o Helping to prepare project funding documents such as cost estimates, equipment bid summaries and authorization requests

Minimum Qualifications

o B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering with coursework related to the job responsibilities

o A minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil, gas and utility sectors including project engineering and design or operating company experience

o Experience in engineering/specification of process equipment

o Basic knowledge of gas codes and regulations, including 49 CFR Part 192 193, 195, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, B31.12, API 520 Pt. 1 & 2, API 521 and ASME BPVC Section VIII

o Engineering Intern (EI) certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

o Familiarity with CAD and Microsoft Office software

o Familiar with Process Modeling Software such as HYSYS, ProMax, etc.

o Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

o Willingness to work in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative

o Demonstrated project organization and management skills

o Flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs

o Acceptable driving record

o Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

o 4 - 7 years of relevant work experience

o Experience working in consulting engineering

o Experience working in a plant-based environment

o Strong relationships with clients and the ability to develop or foster ongoing relationships and maintain a high level of client service




Campos EPC is currently hiring for a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a full time position. Locations: Can either be situated in; Anaheim, CA/Pasadena, CA and or San Diego, CA. Will be responsible for mechanical engineering and design including design criteria, material selection and equipment sizing in compliance with codes and standards. You will work closely with client project teams to determine work scope requirements, monitor and control project costs, and pro-actively resolve variances from project plans. *Experience with natural gas/liquid pipeline, facilities, compressor station, valve projects, etc. required. KEY JOB DUTIES Design oil and gas pipelines, pipeline metering facilities, gas compression facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing, dehydration, heaters, filter separators, and slug catchers. Design hydrostatic tests, pipeline replacements, station replacements. Design hydrostatic tests for pipeline segments that require a valid strength test to establish the maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of the pipeline. Review historical documents, verify prescribed test boundaries and identify potential hydrotest obstacles. Responsible for pipe sizing calculations, valve sizing, hydrostatic test design; hydraulic design, compressor designs, pump designs, interactions with regulatory and permitting agencies as well as other pipeline engineering support. Specify materials and equipment for purchase, using data sheets when required. Write equipment specifications for purchase when required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree. Valid Professional Engineer license preferred. At least 8 years of professional experience. Experience in oil & gas/utility industry required. Thorough knowledge of P&ID s. Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195). Excellent written, verbal communication and organization skills.
