Overview

The New Business Advisor will be the initial point of contact with clients and is responsible for attracting and onboarding new client relationships. This individual will have a broad understanding of wealth management practices and investment strategies with the ideal candidate having proven experience with new business and sales goals. The New Business Advisor will work in tandem with Wealth Advisors within the firm in a team relationship model.


Responsibilities

  • Ability to establish client investment objectives including risk tolerance, asset allocation, and cash requirements
  • Work with firm team members to identify and implement an appropriate investment strategy for each client based on their goals, objectives, and risk tolerance.
  • Work with client to develop individual investment objectives
  • Collaborate with strategic custodial partners and COIs to create and foster partnership
  • Reviews portfolio issues (i.e., taxes, liquidity events, etc.) as needed
  • Manage investment transition for new clients
  • Communicate and collaborates with the Investment Team regarding investment strategy and client portfolio structure
  • Provide recommendations to individuals and families enabling them to fulfill their financial goals
  • Identify insurance needs for clients and assess proper solutions
  • Ability to discuss investment performance, economic and market trends
  • Develop a knowledge of the client s entire financial and family situation and be able to structure investment and financial plan
  • Ability to discuss estate planning and work with internal and external resources to meet the estate planning goals of the client
  • Direct consultation with attorneys and accountants on financial, tax, and estate planning
  • Client meeting planning, facilitation, and presentation
  • Seek to increase current accounts through additions to AUM
  • Compliance awareness with all industry rules and regulations and firm policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience within financial services, wealth management preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven track record and sales ability to close new business
  • Competence with industry software to include CRM, Portfolio Management system, MS Office, custodial platform


5+ years of specifically selling to stock market investors Current Investment Adviser Representative designation, OR FINRA Series 65, OR a combination of FINRA Series 7 & 66, OR qualifying financial professional designations Experience bringing in new investor business Experience in high-volume phone activity and in-person meetings Record of six-figure earnings in each of the past 3 years (pay for production compensation model)
