This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the Training and Development sector.

The successful applicant will be working as part of the Skills for Life Team, delivering both maths and English 1-1 sessions to apprentices in the workplace and to groups of Study Programme learners in our Accrington, Bury and Oldham centres.

Your key responsibilities will include:

planning and delivering engaging and interactive maths and English sessions for learners working towards all levels of Functional Skills English and maths.

delivering face to face and remote sessions to apprentices in the workplace.

delivering both classroom based and remote sessions across our Study Programme centres as required.

The successful applicant will be:

  • flexible/adaptable to the needs of the learners and the programme.
  • motivated to provide an excellent learning experience for all learners.
  • willing to undertake relevant CPD as and when required.

Essential requirements:

A recognised teaching qualification eg CertEd, PGCE, CTLLS, DTLLS.

Minimum level 2 qualification in maths and English.

Desirable requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Functional Skills Subject Content.
  • Previous experience of delivering Functional Skills qualifications.
  • Level 4/5 Subject Specialism in maths and/or English.
  • A knowledge of Work based Learning/Apprenticeships and the Study Programme

We operate throughout the North West of England and other geographical areas so a driving licence is essential.

The above position will be filled by an individual who is professional, motivated and will fit into our first-class team. This is an opportunity for the right person, with the right skills, to play an important role in our English and maths delivery.

Salary Sacrifice Scheme

2pm Friday Finish
We will close at 2pm every Friday to enable staff to start their weekend earlier and plan family events etc. In addition, (dependent on diaries and activities) staff will be able to attend work in casual clothes each Friday
