Manager Finance - Manufacturing

Currently, we are recruiting a Finance Manager - Plant Operations for our client in Central NJ.

The Finance Manager - Plant Operations should have a strong background in Cost Accounting and will report directly to the CFO.

They will be responsible for directing the financial control and accounting activities of the plant, assisting in the development and monitoring of various key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance measures for the plant, ensuring the accuracy of transactions, identifying areas for improvement, including product costing, and managing the month-end closing process for the plant in compliance with US GAAP.

In addition to providing budgeting and forecasting support, they should also be able to optimize cost structures.

Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing financial and operating reports, analyzing performance against forecasts and budgets, leading the development of annual budgets and forecasts with strong plant operations engagement on the production floor, analyzing plant operating costs in detail and recommending action to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment, and assisting in the preparation of financial justifications for plant capital projects, with strong collaboration between engineering and plant management teams.

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting along with 5+ years' experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of SAP, Excel and other computer software is required. In addition, they should be well-versed in communication skills, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have excellent teamwork skills.
