Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on foundry equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Technician will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks on foundry equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts to ensure proper operation. Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as welders and grinders to repair and replace defective parts. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on equipment. Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred, but is willing to train the right candidate. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills required. Experience with welding and fabrication preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a foundry environment, which may include exposure to high temperatures, dust, and noise. The Maintenance Technician will be required to wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The Maintenance Technician may be required to work in confined spaces and at heights using ladders or lifts. The Maintenance Technician may also be required to work in hot or cold environments.
