The testing Nova Analytic Labs will perform is critical to the health and safety of recreational and medicinal cannabis and hemp products. Nova Analytic Labs willprovide the highest quality and safety in testing to the community by combining advanced technology and innovative scientific methods.

The candidate will supervise and coordinate activities and workers engaged in tasks associated with all aspects of the laboratory. Also, will work in the laboratory to assist in requisitioning, sample prep, data analysis, reporting and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for providing day to day supervision over all aspects of the laboratory
Manages all lab and administrative staff
Accessible to testing personnel at all times
Provides orientation, training and performance feedback for staff
Sets standards, policies and guidelines to meet certification standards and efficient management of laboratory
Ensures resolution of errors before results are released to clients or quickly thereafter
Ensures staff, equipment and records are always in compliance with SOPs
Performs supervisory duties such as but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, intervention, discipline and termination of staff
Tracks errors, corrective actions and ensures their resolution and systemic corrections if necessary
Tracks EQ and QC performance and identifies problems and their resolution
Reviews analytical data for correctness and conformity to SOP, ISO and state regs
Reviews and releases final client COAs
Continuously seeks out new and better ideas, driving best practices
Ensure samples are received, extracted and resulted in a manner that is compliant with SOPs
Performs any duties delegated by the Lab Director and/or Management
Responsible for maintaining client relations
Ensure turnaround time for samples is always 72 hours
Ensures results are accurate and workflow is properly followed
Education: Bachelor of Science in a science related degree (Masters or PhD preferred)
Experience:
6 years of lab experience in a high complexity laboratory, environmental laboratory, cannabis laboratory or food testing laboratory and at least two years in management role
Experience with LC/MS, GC/MS and ICP/MS
Cannabis Lab experience preferred
