We are looking for a IT Support Specialist to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and

Tasks

  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Keep an inventory of the organization's technical equipment
  • Replace and upgrade defective or outdated components when necessary
  • Identify the system needs of our organization; research and recommend the most suitable devices, configurations and approaches to improve the networked computer system
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Perform problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system
  • Document any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system (technical documentation, manuals and IT policies)

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administration or similar role
  • Working knowledge in implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Experience with SharePoint infrastructure (design of, architecture, development, deployment, operations, administration) is an advantage
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline is an advantage
