Our client in Stellenbosch, operating in the fintech industry, has a position available for a proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills to join their growing team.
Candidate will report to the Head of Operations.
The main function of the role will be the resolution of system / technical issues, report generation, and monitoring of transaction irregularities. Handling of weekend and after-hour IT support will be required on a shift basis.
Key Performance Areas will include:
- Issue resolution on behalf of Networks and Billers
- Report generation
- Ad Hoc report generation through own designed and modified SQL scripts
- Monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Payment Network to Biller
- Weekend IT Support work
Please note that this is an onsite role during the work week
Requirements
Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:
- IT related qualification
- Previous experience in an IT support field, preferably in the financial services or fintech industry specifically payments industry)
- Knowledge of SQL language code and databases will be advantageous
- Understanding of the Project Development Lifecycle
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Own transport and valid driver s license
- Appropriate data connectivity to handle queries remotely from home (for after hours support)
