IT Service Desk Specialist

Our client in Stellenbosch, operating in the fintech industry, has a position available for a proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills to join their growing team.

Key Performance Areas will include:

• Issue resolution on behalf of Networks and Billers
  
• Report generation
  
• Ad Hoc report generation through own designed and modified SQL scripts
  
• Monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Payment Network to Biller
  
• Weekend IT Support work
  

Please note that this is an onsite role during the work week

Requirements

Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:

• IT related qualification
  
• Previous experience in an IT support field, preferably in the financial services or fintech industry specifically payments industry)
  
• Knowledge of SQL language code and databases will be advantageous
  
• Understanding of the Project Development Lifecycle
  
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  
• Own transport and valid driver s license
  
• Appropriate data connectivity to handle queries remotely from home (for after hours support)
