JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT

Our client is a 100% Australian owned parking bollard shop based in Sydney, servicing Australia nationwide. They have over 13 years operating experience in the parking industry, advising customers on the best solutions to address their parking pain points. Their parking bollard shop offers customised parking solutions designed to meet their customers budget and needs.

Our client is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative Digital Marketing Assistant to get a buzz out of their business. Help them scale up their solid existing business, and then launch into the foray of their new and exciting adjacent tech venture. You will be working with the fabulous female CEO, and you will learn lots of new skills, while you hone your existing ones, and get your creative juices flowing.


Characteristics and skills we are looking for in a Digital Marketing Assistant:

Someone who is passionate about people and making our world a better place to live.
Highly motivated, ambitious, creative, a bit of playful fun, and keen to learn and grow.
Excellent Communications skills both written and verbal.
Experience using Word (or if you have pages or Mac equivalent as well that may also be helpful), Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite generally.
Knowledge in Google Docs, Sheets, and Google Suite generally, as well as Google Drive.
Experience using LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Later (Easy Facebook & Instagram scheduling application).
Knowledge using WordPress (looking at other options for CRM), Calendly, MacMail, EDM tools such as Mailerlite, Asana, Atlassian suite.
Background in using Trello, Canva and, Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator (not required but helpful).
Ability to take direction, very good eye to detail, and self-motivated to come up with creative and new ideas on your own as well.
Great time management and organizational skills.
Good communication, listening & learning skills, professional approach (with a dash of fun), hones.
Ability to take the initiative to operate independently, but also in a team environment.


Your Responsibilities as a Digital Marketing Assistant:

Hosting Social Media Management, including in-depth understanding of content plan.
Manage & research topics/ suggestions for posts and blogs (Client already has a master list document so keep this updated and populate).
Create high quality content that is published on a consistent basis, following guidance provided by their SEO strategist.
Match suitable images for blog posts.
Upload blogs onto WordPress Website, including alt-tags and internal/external links.
Create posts for Linked In following content plan schedule and format of prior posts.
Create simple artwork in Canva for Linked In posts.
Post on Linked In and engage in interactive comments.
Create posts for Facebook and Instagram from library of images they already have, with appropriate photo credit and comments/ hashtags (less important) and schedule them on Later.
Draft EDMs once a month using existing templates and add recipients in MailerLite, Schedule with Mailerlite tool.
Copywriting, including transposing video content for blogs, review keywords & competitor content.
Reviewing and analysing data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations.
Creation and monitoring of social media advertising campaigns and management of digital advertising spend.
Management of tasks associated to delivery of key marketing campaigns and activity.
Working directly with the Founder to develop and execute effective campaigns.
Coordination of all social media and marketing platforms and tools.
Assist on the Sales Funnel through Lead generation through Linked In sales navigator tool and reach out to new Leads they have a process / funnel set up.
Prepare more engaging marketing brochures and convert existing dormant customers.
Customer interviews to see what key levers prompt them to make a purchasing decision.
Research on Competitors through updating their existing research on competitors in the market and their pricing.
Ongoing research to see our unique selling proposition to set us above the market.
Use these levers to assist with creating SEO content.
