This is a remote position.
Controls Engineer
Job Location: Remote with 75% travel
This position will provide you with the opportunity to use your engineering skills to drive new automation projects , expand your knowledge of aluminum design and industrial manufacturing processes , and work with colleagues in a wide variety of disciplines, from manufacturing engineers to market analysts . This person will work closely with our plants manufacturing teams as well as working closely with integrators, robotic vendors, and other industrial suppliers .

- Oversee the work of suppliers and integrators in accordance with project requirements
- Design Automation systems for industrial tasks
- Review advanced electronic control systems
- Developing and implementing process techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
- Work with Product Development teams on process concepts, equipment requirements, and new technologies
- Upgrade existing equipment with control functions
- Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Conduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of new equipment
Requirements
- B.S. in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to effectively drive projects through a manufacturing organization with limited direction.
- Familiarity with metals (aluminum preferred) and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of integration tools, PLC's, robotics, industrial communication, and programming.
- Machine vision focusing on vision measurement strongly desirable.
- Min of 5 years' experience as Controls/Mechatronics engineer preferably in a production environment.
- Fluency in English required
- 75% travel required.
