Join our client as a trailblazing Controls Engineer, where youll have the opportunity to unleash your creativity in defining and executing innovative control algorithms for electric motors and power electronics. Your passion for hands-on involvement in the earliest stages of a company will be crucial as we push the boundaries of cutting-edge EV technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft innovative motor, power electronic, and thermal control algorithms
  • Model dynamic systems to validate stability and performance
  • Collaborate closely with hardware specialists to fine-tune the design
  • Work with the team to determine the optimal sensors and hardware for controls
  • Write control software for DSPs and FPGAs
  • Design and run a thorough test suite to ensure performance and reliability
  • Participate in dyno development and operation
  • Troubleshoot and debug system issues through data analysis
  • Oversee supplier management and requirements definition


Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing control algorithms for power systems
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming
  • Proven track record in motor control and/or power electronic control systems
  • Deep understanding of power converter topologies, modulation strategies, and sensor selection
  • Modeling and simulating experience
  • Solid grasp of electrical schematics and control circuitry
  • Understands DSPs and embedded systems
  • Comfortable working with high voltage and dynamometer test equipment
