Job Summary: The NDIS Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that the homes and workplaces of individuals who receive services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) are kept clean and safe. The cleaner will work closely with the client to understand their specific cleaning requirements and will ensure that all areas are cleaned to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Ensure that all cleaning products and equipment are used according to relevant safety guidelines
  • Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families to understand their specific cleaning requirements and provide a high level of customer service
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate person
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
  • Keep accurate records of the cleaning activities performed and any relevant information for the clients records
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety and privacy.


Requirements


  • Previous experience in cleaning, particularly in a health care or disability setting, is preferred
  • Understanding of cleaning and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and checklists accurately
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and products safely.
