Artisan Assistant 1

The main purpose of the Artisan Assistant is to ensure all plant, buildings and equipment under their supervision is effectively and efficiently maintained. Repairs to equipment also to be done, if in their skillset or reported. The Artisan Assistant should also assist operations if required to do so and is accountable for all tasks and personnel under their supervision.

Skills :

Maintenance

Maintenance to all plant, equipment, buildings under his supervision

Maintenance inspections to be done as per Maintenance Plan schedules.

Maintenance Check List to completed on a monthly basis.

Repairs

Repairs to all plant, equipment, buildings under his supervision

Personnel Management

Supervision and training of maintenance assistants

Procurement of materials, tools

Assist with procurement of materials / tooling for maintenance / repairs.

Operations

Product receiving, dispatch, transfer.

Health and Safety

Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks

Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management

Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

Attend safety education and refresher programmes

Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill

Distribute safety information as and when required

Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
