About the position

The selected candidate will give support to the program: Climate Action projects in the budget development, monitoring, and reporting; support the hiring process of staff, consultants, and partners; and give administrative support matters in cooperation with the center s supporting offices.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out administrative and logistical procedures for all project units that manage funds through the Alliance Bioversity CIAT.

Administrative support and other tasks related to budgets and contracts as needed in the program.

Support the team in the preparation of management and execution reports that are required for the program, as well as the annual work plans, budget, and semi-annual reports.

Monitoring of the budget execution of the projects research units, ensuring that expenses are appropriately charged and maintaining close contact with the person in charge of support in the Alliance Bioversity CIAT s financial team.

Internal monthly report of detailed budget execution plans for the team and project leaders of the lever.

Maintain permanent communication and provide support to project units for planning, monitoring of travel budgets, events, services and contracts.

Support the project s research units for the development of annual work plans and budget.

Provide support related staff in clarifying rules from donors for correct execution.

Monitoring of partnership and consultancy contracts.

Execute on time the assigned key cases of partnership contracts, monitoring of personnel contracts.

Requirements

Qualifications and requirements

Professional in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.

Minimum (3) years of work experience in similar positions.

Advance skills in Excel.

Intermediate-advance level of English (Oral, Writing and Comprehension skills).

Competences

Proven ability to integrate, inspire and develop multidisciplinary teams and manage talent, with a strong commitment to promoting diversity, knowledge sharing, and staff development.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team with people in a multi-cultural and multidisciplinary environment, including with external stakeholders, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to provide a high level of service under pressure.

Terms of employment

This is a national recruited position placed at aBG06,in a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest. This is a Colombian national search and will be managed through a fixed term contract of a one (1) year period, subject to a probation period according to the local legislation and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
