Our client, one of the largest global providers of logistics in the beverage sector, has an immediate opening for askilled Accounts Receivable Clerkto provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
The individual in this role will provide financial, administrative and clerical services that include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, reviews for accuracy.
- Applies payments to outstanding invoices in a timely manner.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate aging reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Retrieves credit reports and assist with review of customer credit issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school, one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SAP is a plus).
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A desire and ability to work independently and collaborativelywith others to accomplish daily goals.
