Job Description

Primary Objective:The primary focus of this position is full responsibility for cashbook function, including Bank reconciliations, following up and clearing of reconciling items, daily cash management, foreign payments and other ad hoc payments.

Main Tasks:

Cashbook Responsibilities

Process the cash book timeously and accurately.

Ensure that there are no errors or duplicated transactions.

Accurate and Timely filing of all cheque requests and payment information

Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the correct amount, period, classification, allocation and are valid. Advise the Cashbook Supervisor immediately if the bank or cashbook is in overdraft.

Handle and tracking of banking queries for DR and Cashbook Supervisor.

Weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliation

Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliation

Ensure that the last day of the trading bank statement is being used to perform bank reconciliation.

Ensure that all transactions up to the last day of trading are recorded in the cashbook and unprocessed transactions are provided for with Treasury Accountants approval

Submit the bank reconciliation to the Treasury Accountant before or on due date



Requirements

At least three (3) years of relevant accounting experience.

Computer literacy (advanced Excel experience) and the ability to apply accounting principles Good understanding Marketing Plans and business operations will be an advantage

Must be detail oriented.

High degree of accuracy

Efficient time management skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

Skills:

Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship building skills.

Must be detail oriented.

Must be able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

High degree of accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills




Having experience in program implementation within public, private, and FBOs health sectors is mandatory Training and experience working with digital health application solutions are highly preferred Demonstrated project management experience including budget development, activities planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. Demonstrated effective coordination of multiple projects Demonstrated experience in writing technical reports & strong proposal writing skills. Skills and Competencies Excellent written and oral communications skills; Fluency in the English language is essential Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills Strong people management skills, a resourceful critical thinker with the ability to solve any arising issues Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse teamwork environment driven by results Ability to work with minimum or no supervision, under pressure with strict datelines. Good proposal writing and Information Technology skills are essential. Ability to uphold the company core values; Integrity, transparency, and accountability at all times
