Responsibilities:
• Reporting to management on the status of projects, including updating them on any issues that arise
• Reviewing financial statements and other documents to ensure they are accurate and complete
• Monitoring cash flow, especially during busy seasons when there is a higher risk of cash shortages
• Preparing reports such as profit and loss statements and budgets for management review
• Preparing initial drafts of accounting records of transactions as specified by generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Auditing the financial records of businesses and other organizations to ensure that their accounting practices are compliant with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintaining an awareness of new federal and state laws and regulations that may affect the business’s accounting practices.
• Ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinating with external auditors to ensure that audits are completed on time and according to standards set by regulatory agencies.
