A busy acute-care facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician to join its nursing support team. This role is responsible for providing hands-on patient support assisting clinical staff and helping maintain a safe clean and welcoming care environment.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital or clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with preparation mobility transfers positioning and comfort during care and recovery
Provide basic non-medicated patient care including hygiene support dressing assistance skin protection and use of supportive devices
Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition behavior or comfort level to nursing staff
Support nurses and clinical team members with routine patient care tasks
Keep patient rooms hallways and common areas clean organized and well-stocked
Manage supplies equipment and environmental logs to support infection control and safety standards
Follow facility procedures related to patient privacy safety documentation and infection prevention
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients families nurses and other healthcare team members
Help create a positive professional and compassionate patient care experience
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Active HIPAA compliance credential/ training required
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification BCLS/BLS required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate dependable and patient-centered approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced acute-care or hospital environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Commitment to patient privacy safety and quality care
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician Nursing Assistant CNA Patient Care Assistant or similar direct patient care role
Experience working in a hospital acute-care rehabilitation long-term care or clinical setting
Familiarity with patient mobility support transfers basic care tasks and infection control procedures
