Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead and oversee surgical operations in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient-centered care through effective management of clinical operations staffing financial performance and strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Quality & Compliance:

• Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory accreditation and organizational standards
• Monitor operational efficiency quality metrics and cost management
• Oversee equipment maintenance and readiness for accreditation reviews

Service Excellence:

• Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction
• Establish accountability for high-quality service delivery
• Utilize feedback and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement

Leadership & People Management:

• Foster a positive collaborative work culture aligned with organizational values
• Support staff development engagement and retention
• Provide coaching performance management and leadership development
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and talent alignment

Growth & Strategy:

• Collaborate with leadership and physicians to expand surgical services
• Identify opportunities for new service lines and program growth
• Drive innovation and operational excellence

Financial Management:

• Participate in budgeting forecasting and financial planning
• Monitor departmental financial performance and productivity
• Manage labor costs and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree required
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 3 years of Surgical Services experience
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (Director or strong Manager level)
• Strong leadership operational and strategic planning skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree (MSN MHA or related field)
• Experience in a large or complex healthcare setting
• Proven track record in quality improvement and operational efficiency
