Transportation Maintenance Staff

Goshen County School District #1 located in Goshen County Wyoming is seeking qualified applicants for a Transportation Maintenance staff position. This individual will support the districts transportation department by assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the districts transportation fleet and related equipment. This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor. Applications will be accepted through March 23 2026 or until filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to qualify for a Wyoming CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements

• Ability to meet all Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) requirements

• General automotive and mechanical maintenance skills preferred

Salary:
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Start Date:
The start date is contingent upon the successful completion of all district pre-employment requirements.

Purpose Statement:

The job of Transportation Maintenance Worker was established for the purpose/s of providing mechanic services with specific responsibility for performing preventive maintenance and maintaining district vehicles in safe operating condition; and completing assignments in a safe proper and timely manner.

Equivalency: Job related experience is required

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Required Testing: WYDOTRandom Alcohol and Drug Test; Pre-employment Drug Screening

Certificates & Licenses: Class B CDL w/ passenger school bus and air brakes endorsements; CPR/First Aid Certificate; DOT physical with medical examiners certificate

Clearances:

Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance must be received prio to starting work; DOT driving record clearance report.
