As a Security Officer - Patrol and Loss Prevention in Jersey City NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location you will complete routine foot patrols stay highly visible and help identify and report security-related incidents. You will support loss prevention efforts assist team members and shoppers with a customer-first approach and communicate clearly with site leadership. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests and team members at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors entrances receiving areas stockrooms and the parking area to help to deter theft vandalism and/or other unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer traffic for suspicious or unusual behavior offering assistance as needed and documenting observations according to post orders.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents observations and daily activities and communicate key information during shift turnovers to support consistent site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
