About the Role
As a History Teacher you will deliver stimulating and structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach A-Level History depending on experience. You will help pupils develop historical knowledge critical thinking skills and the ability to analyse and interpret sources effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality History lessons across KS3 KS4 and potentially KS5

• Creating engaging learning activities and resources that inspire student curiosity

• Assessing pupil progress providing constructive feedback and supporting improvement

• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners

• Encouraging independent learning and research skills

• Supporting enrichment activities such as history clubs trips and competitions

• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning

• Maintaining high standards of behaviour engagement and academic achievement

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Be committed to supporting the progress and personal development of all pupils

• Be able to plan and deliver lessons that cater to varying abilities and learning styles

• Show initiative creativity and professionalism in teaching and collaboration
