Job Summary
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Willmar MN 56201
Contract Duration: 9 Weeks
Pay Rate: Up to $24 per hour
Schedule:
Monday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 6:00 AM 12:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Thursday: 6:00 AM 11:00 AM
Friday: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient front and back office workflow. This role requires strong organizational skills professionalism and a patient-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
Room patients and prepare them for examinations
Obtain and accurately document vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccines
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Provide additional clinical support as needed
Administrative Duties
Greet patients and manage front desk responsibilities
Schedule appointments and handle incoming calls
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
Support coordination between clinical and administrative teams
Assist with general office operations
Qualifications
23 years of Medical Assistant experience required
Minimum 1 year of experience beyond externship
Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
Occupational Health experience (strongly preferred)
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience (required)
EMR experience (required)
BLS or CPR certification (required)
Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
