Caterpillars Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine Petroleum Industrial Applications Electric Generators and Locomotives. As aTool Crib Attendantyou willbe responsible formanaging and distributing tools equipment and supplies essential formaintainingand repairing machinery as well as supporting production us in shaping the future of diesel engineblock and cylinder machiningwhile enjoying competitive benefits and endless opportunities for growth. What you will do:

• Provide exceptional customer service byassistingall team members with locating parts
• Disburse all parts removedand/orsigned out from crib usinginventory systemsoftware and tools
• Set up adjust troubleshoot andoperatea variety of machine tooling including specialized and advanced variation tools to conduct precision machining operations
• Maintainmachining processes to specifications
• Manage the dispositioning of tools sentout and/or receivedfor regrindorrepair
• Handle the delivery and pickup of machine toolsutilizingtransfer carts
• Perform process testing to ensure quality control
• Maintainaccuraterecords related to inventoryqualityand defective parts
• Track items through thedesignated softwaresystem
• Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and schematic diagrams
• Assistwith resolution of Continuous Improvement cards and provide process information to supervisors
• Complete daily 5S workplace approved organization method for toolcrib and desks by end of shift
• Ensure a safe and clean workstation environment
• Perform any other assigned duties

What you will have:

• Minimum of4months experience in a machining manufacturing or warehouseenvironmentor industry certification
• Abilityto work well with others
• Proficiencyin working with hand tools
• Familiarity with mechanical products and components
• Ability to read write and interpret documents in English
• Attention-to-detail and ability toidentifynon-conforming parts and investigate quality defects
• Previousexperience reading and interpreting part printsschematics and/or blueprints
• Generalknowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel Word and/orPowerPoint
• Previousexperience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures

What would make you a top candidate:

• Experience using scanners and inventory system software for parts management
• Previousexperience and/or training inGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Software
• Previousexperience setting up and troubleshooting Heller and/or Toyoda machining cells

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive operations
• Ability tolift upto 35 lbs.
